Borbála Szécsi, J.D.

Manager

Borbála started her professional career in 2008 as a lawyer at the National Tax and Customs Authority (NTCA), where she spent 14 years, before joining the Andersen team in November 2021.

She gained extensive expertise at the tax authority across several areas, including liquidation audit procedures, handling appeals at the second-instance tax authority, tax litigation before courts, as well as transfer pricing matters and Advance Pricing Arrangement (APA) procedures. From 2018, she served for two years as an advisor to the Deputy Commissioner for Taxation at the NTCA, where she coordinated high-profile tax cases, proposed tax-related legislative amendments, and managed liaison with the Ministry of Finance.

At Andersen, Borbála primarily works on transfer pricing projects. Her responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks related to the obligation to apply the arm’s length principle, starting with supporting documentation and tax compliance processes. She is engaged in comprehensive advisory works aimed at developing and implementing pricing models tailored to the characteristics of various corporate structures. Furthermore, she provides client representation in APA procedures before the Ministry for National Economy to secure advance rulings on transfer pricing matters. In addition, she is involved in consulting activities concerning cases before the tax authority.
