The former director of the indirect taxation business will continue his work as a partner from 1 January 2024.
Bence Barta has gained nearly one and a half decades of experience in the field of taxation and tax consultancy. During his career he has primarily focused on indirect taxation, particularly VAT and environmental product charging, but he also has a proven professional reputation in the field of customs consultancy. Over the past year, he has also covered EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) and CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism), which are at the intersection of taxation and ESG, and has successfully helped Andersen build its relevant competence.
He joined the company as a senior manager in February 2020. With his work, he has significantly contributed to strengthening Andersen’s market position and achieving its business goals. In recognition of his professional attitude and achievements, he was promoted to director of the indirect taxation business in January 2021, within a year of joining the firm. Under his management. the sales revenue of the field tripled, and Andersen Adótanácsadó Zrt’s achievement of above-average market growth in recent years is partly thanks to this.
This performance has been recognised in recent years by the prestigious international tax magazine International Tax Review (ITR). In addition to the “Tax Advisor of the Year in Hungary” award, the company has also won ITR’s “VAT Advisor of the Year in Hungary” title in both 2022 and 2023. Two years ago, the organisation also recognised the outstanding professional work of Bence Barta by nominating him as of the seven European tax advisers for the Indirect Tax Rising Star title.
